Why does Arawn's Grove do it?

For this question, there are more answers then there are members of Arawn's Grove itself. The motivations and attractions that drive each of us are rarely so simplistic to be summed up into one statement for even a single individual, much less a collective of eclectic pagans.

There is however, one fundamental structure that appears to play a significant role in the lives of all those involved in Arawn's Grove. This is the concept of Transpersonal Development, the identification with that which is beyond self. In modern psychology this is discussed as development of the personality beyond the adult ego. In Timothy Leary's 8-circuit model of consciousness, this represents the fostering of the higher circuits. C.G. Jung's Collective consciousness and Gurdjieff's True Emotional Centre are also models that can be used to examine similar concepts.

While the paths are many and the language used to describe these things quite diverse, there seems to be a reliable pattern of results when this exploration is undertaken. These include:

Fostering a life of Altruism
An overwhelming recognition of Universal Connectedness
Abundant Creativity
Experience of Peak Mystical Experience
Development of Intuitive Wisdom
Amore et Helaritos - Love and Chearfulness

For these reasons, Arawn's Grove does what it does.
